Giving new life to an antique brooch!

As a gift to a young relative, a client wanted me to repurpose an antique brooch that had been passed down in the family. She knew that unless it was more contemporary jewelry, her niece would not wear it. I carefully removed the backing pin/clasp and converted the brooch into a pendant. I then attached it to a beautiful chain of tiny, wire-wrapped moonstones and added a silver magnetic clasp. This 32” long necklace is now an heirloom with a new life… something that can be both cherished AND shown off!

PS: I hear the recipient of this gift is thrilled with it!
